Making a Keto Friendly Sleepy Syrup

There are many times in life when we can use a little help getting to sleep. The first course of action shouldn't be to run to sedative herbs, but to look at our habits and lifestyle to see if there are any reasonable actions that we can do to help promote a better nights sleep.

With that said I am including 2 recipes for teas I will have in my shop starting next month, March 2021. If you are comfortable making your own please mix and swap out ingredients of what you may have on hand and are accessible to you. Or you can buy a commercially prepared tea blend such as Traditional Medicinal Nighty Night Tea.

Sleep Tea Blend

Chamomile 3 parts

Passionflower 3 parts

Dried Milky Oats/Oatstraw 2 parts

Mimosa Bark 2 parts

Valerian 1 part

Lemon Balm 1 part

Catnip 1 part

Hops 1/2 part

Kids Sleep Tea Blend

The Syrup Recipe

1 Cup Water

1 Cup Allulose(or any other sweetener you are comfortable with, it just won't be keto friendly)

Boil and then remove from heat and place 1/4 cup tea or 4 tea bags into syrup and let steep covered 20 minutes.

Strain, label and date. Store in fridge.

Use

Add 4 Tbs(or a 1/4 Cup) of the syrup to warm milk, cream if you are keto, or whatever your favorite dairy replacement is.
